The new School of Medicine Education Building II supports the academic and programmatic mission of the University of California (UC), Riverside School of Medicine. The building provides adequate space for existing needs and allows for future expansion of the class size鈥攗p to 125 students per cohort. The new school of medicine includes instruction and instructional support spaces such as classrooms, specialized teaching spaces and lecture halls, student support and study facilities, including study/lounge spaces necessary to comply with accreditation standards, and academic and administrative offices and support spaces.

The project also incorporates substantial site development, landscaping and infrastructure work such as the creation of a new plaza to unify outdoor spaces within the project, the relocation of an existing generator and the development of a code-compliant fire lane and service access.

In 2020, Jacobs, contracted by Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Southeast, awarded 爱神传媒 a hard-bid contract under a best value scenario to work collaboratively for NAVFAC. 爱神传媒 provided design-assist preconstruction and construction services on the renovation of Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola Building 633.

The historic brick building with white columns is the heart of the Naval Aviation Schools Command where generations of naval aviators have trained since 1941. The two-story facility consists of administrative spaces, classrooms, and an auditorium. Renovations included a large-scale mechanical renovation, interior aesthetic upgrades, hazardous materials abatement, a new fire alarm and mass notification system, demolition of interior walls, terrazzo floor refurbishment, two new handicapped restrooms, door security infrastructure. The mechanical upgrades included the removal and replacement of the existing HVAC system, removal and replacement of two cooling towers, two chillers, and three boilers.

All renovations were required to be approved by the State Historic Preservation Officer (SHPO) and the Navy to ensure the renovation preserved the building鈥檚 historic integrity. Additionally, the team was tasked with protecting existing historic elements in the facility such as various 1930鈥檚 era paintings and murals. With Building 633 residing on an active military base, the project required several highly secure components and heavy coordination to maintain daily operations. Cybersecurity requirements included third-party computer scanning and inactive USBs such as on the fire alarm controls.

Perhaps the most special part of this renovation project was the opportunity to help give due honor and remembrance to three fallen soldiers by building out a memorial room. The commemorative sitting room features a red wall with a painted white NAS Pensacola heart illustrative of heart patches that were provided for service members, first responders, and the local community. The design was made by local community member, Robbie Harvey, and the painting was produced by Bradley Deal.

With dedicated teamwork and collaboration, the team was able to deliver to NAVFAC a refreshed and upgraded facility for future aviation students in the Navy, Marine Crops, and Coast Guard.

The Fawcett Elementary School project in Tacoma, WA includes the design and construction of a replacement elementary school on the existing site of the current school. The project includes demolition of the existing 64,000 SF facility and construction of a new 55,000 SF two-story building to house approximately 400 students. Delivered in partnership with Tacoma-based design firm BLRB Architects, the progressive design-build project provides a new parking lot, covered and paved play areas and an all-purpose field. Fawcett presents challenges related to the fast-track construction of the new facility on the small, 5.6-acre site that has sloping topography and is surrounded by dense, single-family residential neighborhoods on all sides. The project uses signage as teaching moments throughout the building. Examples include entry art that welcomes students in over ten languages and a timeline of the history if Tacoma.

The 爱神传媒 and BLRB team worked closely with Tacoma Public Schools to increase both local business participation from 30% to 54% and overall business equity inclusion goals.

The Girl Scouts of Hawaii Camp Paumalu STEM Center for Excellence project consists of a new two-story, 11,630 SF wood-framed structure on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii. The center features a commercial kitchen, computer lab, classroom laboratories, dining hall, restroom/shower house, health center and laundry facility. The open-air concept flows between two large lanais, a welcome lobby and a covered walkway leading to the pre-engineered metal storage building. The facility will provide year-round opportunities in cybersecurity, astronomy, robotics, computer coding, botany, chemistry and environmental stewardship to the Girl Scouts of Hawaii.

The majority of the labor force was performed by the Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) program. The IRT is a Department of Defense military training opportunity for Active, Guard and Reserve servicemembers to support a nonprofit build and increase deployment readiness.

The LAUSD Venice High School Comprehensive Modernization Project includes four new modular buildings consisting of general classrooms, chemistry labs, a graphics print shop, flexible engineering and maker space labs, art and studio art classrooms and associated storage and support spaces. The project features a new gymnasium building, consisting of a main gymnasium and a practice gymnasium space, locker/shower rooms, a weight room, aerobics/dance space and associated support spaces. The modular construction style allows Los Angeles Unified School District to maintain a fully operational facility during construction.

The project also includes new parking lots and new outdoor athletic spaces with a resurfaced track and field, new softball and baseball fields, concessions, restrooms and modern tennis and basketball hard court areas. Landscape and hardscape, including various outdoor classroom areas and utility infrastructure upgrades and replacements, are also included in this project.

The Verano 8 Graduate Student Housing project is located on a 7.8-acre site and features five residential buildings that add 1,055 beds for graduate students. Verano 8 also includes a 15,996 SF community building that serves residents and the broader community with diverse social, study and event spaces. The spaces include lounges, a game room, music practice rooms, study suites, a large multipurpose room for events and lectures and a wellness/yoga room. In addition, the project includes a 10,311 SF maintenance and operations facility and a 253,442 SF, 853-stall parking structure.

The Graduate and Professional Students and Mixed-Use Housing complex consists of 853 single occupancy micro apartments; 254 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments; and common areas resulting in a total of 1,355 beds. The project includes a 908-space multi-floor above-ground concrete parking structure which serves students, faculty and staff residents; and 11,000 SF of common amenity and administration space. The project complies with the University of California Policy on Sustainable Practice and achieved a LEED Gold Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.

The 听Nuevo East Student Housing project is a mixed-use residential and common amenity program that includes five low- and high-rise residential buildings housing 1,374 student beds in one- to four-bedroom apartments and townhomes. Nuevo East includes a student wellness and resource center called the Exchange Building. The Nuevo East residential community is supported by a mix of shared amenities such as support spaces, laundry facilities, fitness and wellness spaces, administrative offices, multi-purpose rooms, community gathering spaces, a public plaza and community gardens. The project includes a surface parking lot with 550 spaces and includes ADA spaces, electric vehicle charging areas and Clean Air Vehicle spaces.

The 听Middle Earth Housing Expansion project is an expansion of the existing Middle Earth Student Housing undergraduate complex. Middle Earth provides 510 students with high-quality housing accommodations along with dining, learning and amenity spaces. The vertical design expands UC Irvine鈥檚 capacity to accommodate increasing enrollment and demand for on-campus housing, as mandated by the University of California Office of the President.

The project features two residential towers that rise above a mixed-use podium and richly landscaped base, echoing the natural form and color of the region鈥檚 limestone canyons. In the towers, communities of student suites are connected on each level by a 鈥淟ink Lounge鈥� social amenity space complete with group kitchens, media viewing and laundry facilities. Below, the two-story podium includes a 750-seat dining facility serving the entire campus population with 10,000 meals daily, amenity space for student interaction, multi-purpose classrooms and new headquarters for housing administration. The landscape rises over the first floor to create a central terrace and landform that draws residents of the Middle Earth neighborhood to and through this student life center at the gateway to the academic core of campus.
